Coaching Requests

TVSA allows buddy requests in all divisions. However, while TVSA tries to accommodate buddy requests  when possible within our rules, we will not guarantee placement with any particular buddy. All final decisions on placement will be made by the TVSA registrar.

• You can request no more than 3 friends as buddies.
• Requests must be for players in the same age group.
• All divisions in spring are coed so you can request either girls or boys.
• If you request the child of a coach it will be considered a coach request for that coach (see rules on coach requests which are more restrictive).
• If you request a child who makes a coach request it will be considered a request for that same coach (see rules on coach requests, which are more restrictive).
• Requests must include both the first and last name of the child you are requesting.

TVSA does not allow buddy requests (including carpool requests) in the U10 through U18 divisions in the fall season.

In the U4/U5 and U6 divisions we allow requests as listed below:

• You can request no more than 3 friends as buddies.
• Requests must be for players in the same age group.
• These divisions are all coed so you can request either girls or boys.
• Requests must include both the first and last name of the child you are requesting.

In the U8 division we allow requests as follows:

• You can request no more than 3 friends as buddies.
• Requests must be for players in the same age group and for players of the same gender(the sole exception would be for a girl opting to play with the boys in the coed division who could then request male buddies)
• Requests must include both the first and last name of the buddy being requested.
• If you request the child of a coach, it will be considered a coach request for that coach (see rules on coach requests, which are more restrictive)
• If you request a child who makes a coach request it will be considered a request for that same coach (see rules on coach requests, which are more restrictive)

TVSA will not guarantee placement with any particular buddy and all final decisions will be made by the TVSA registrar.

TVSA allows limited coach requests in all divisions in the spring season. We do not guarantee any coach request will be honored but try to accommodate players wherever possible within league policies. All final decisions on coach requests will be made by the TVSA registrar.

TVSA is very liberal on coach requests in the U4,U5 and U6 divisions.

In U8 through U18 the following policies are in effect:

• Each coach may only be assigned a maximum of three (3) player requests (including their own child).
• Requests for siblings to be placed with a specific coach shall count as a single request when computing the coach’s total.
• A request to play with a coach’s child shall be considered and counted as a request to play for the coach.
• A buddy request to play with a child who made a coach request will be considered a request for the same coach the buddy requested and count against the coach’s total.
