Derek Rogers
has played soccer for over 40 years and coached for over 20 years in Illinois and California. He has a National E Coaching License, been the USSF referee for over 20 years and is a USSF State Level 6 Referee. Derek has served on the TVSA Board of Directors from 2001-Present.
As a player, coach, and a referee, Derek understands that you can view the beautiful game of soccer from many viewpoints, and sometimes see things differently from other’s perspectives. He feels strongly that we at TVSA should provide the necessary tools and an opportunity for those wishing to become referees in the Temecula Valley. TVSA should enable and empower each by taking what has been learned during the referee certification process, and enhance that by sharing experiences, and advice and showing best application of the Laws of Game. Finally, scheduling the appropriate games at the appropriate age levels to improve each referees knowledge and game management, while helping them grow in confidence as they learn.
Anyone wishing to join us at TVSA and become a referee is required to have a current year USSF referee certification ID card and referee badge.
