How the Standings are Calculated

Standings are based on a point system which consists of 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss. The sum of the total points is ranked from highest to lowest to determine the standings positions. In the event where two or more teams have the same total points, the following tie breaker rules are applied:

Head-to-head
Goals Against
Coin Flip

In the case where three or more teams have the same number of points, all teams must have played each other for the head-to-head rule to be used. If all teams have not played each other then goals against will be the next rule to be used.
